American Golfer Holds Off Bryson DeChambeau to Claim Title

Schauffele's Victory Marks His First Major Championship Win

American golfer Xander Schauffele has emerged victorious at the 106th PGA Championship, held at the Ocean Course in South Carolina. Schauffele's triumph marks his first major championship title.

The 28-year-old held off a strong challenge from fellow American Bryson DeChambeau, who entered the final round with a one-stroke lead. Schauffele shot a 67 in the final round, while DeChambeau stumbled with a 71.

Schauffele's victory caps off a remarkable season that has seen him rise to the top of the PGA Tour rankings. He has won three tournaments this year, including the Genesis Invitational and the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

The win also marks a significant milestone for Schauffele, who has long been considered one of the most talented golfers on the Tour. He is now the first American to win a major championship since Brooks Koepka in 2019.
