Aggies stun Wildcats 5-1 in decisive Game 3

OMAHA, Neb. -- Nathan Dettmer pitched a complete game and Texas A&M upset No. 2 Kentucky 5-1 on Monday to advance to the College World Series finals.

Dettmer allowed just one run on five hits and struck out eight batters in his dominant outing. The Aggies took an early lead in the second inning on a solo home run by Jack Moss and never looked back.

Kentucky's only run came in the fourth inning on a sacrifice fly by Chase Estep. But Texas A&M added two more runs in the fifth inning on an RBI single by Jordan Thompson and a sacrifice fly by Moss.

The Aggies tacked on two more runs in the eighth inning on an RBI single by Bryce Miller and a sacrifice fly by Kalae Harrison.

With the win, Texas A&M advances to the College World Series finals for the first time since 2011. The Aggies will face the winner of Monday night's game between Stanford and Arkansas.
